Cài đặt giao diện

Trên menu quản trị, chúng ta vào phần "Appearance/Themes" để chọn lựa giao diện. Tại đây hiển thị những mẫu giao diện đã được cài, bạn click vào nút "Activate" nếu muốn áp dụng một mẫu nào đó, hoặc bấm "Add new" để cài một giao diện mới

Quá trình cài thêm giao diện mới cho oép-sai hoàn toàn tự động: Sau khi bấm "Add new", trình duyệt chuyển bạn tới thư viện giao diện của Wordpress, chọn mẫu mà bạn muốn cài và click nút "Install"

Khi cài đặt hoàn tất, bạn cũng cần phải click vào "Activate" để kích hoạt áp dụng giao diện mới (như hình sau)

Cũng có thể bạn chưa muốn áp dụng ngay giao diện mới cho oép-sai của mình mà muốn xem trước có phù hợp hay không, bạn bấm vào "Live preview"

trình duyệt chuyển bạn tới trang "customize" (tùy chỉnh) giao diện, tại đây bạn bấm nút "Save & Activate" để áp dụng những thay đổi giao diện (hình trên).

Thiết lập các Widget

Khái niệm Widget trong Wordpress: là những khối (block, hay còn được gọi là widget, gadget) người dùng thêm vào một khu vực nào đó trên giao diện. Tùy vào mẫu giao diện mà bạn sử dụng, có thể có 1 hay nhiều khu vực cho phép bạn đưa thêm những khối nhỏ (widget) vào đó, những khối này chứa một số tiện ích nhỏ được Wordpress định sẵn (vd như category, recent post, calendar...) hoặc nội dung văn bản/HTML tùy chọn.

Giao diện quản lý các widget hiện ra như hình sau khi bạn chọn mục "Appearance/Widgets". Tại đây, bạn thấy các widget có sẵn bên trái và những khu vực cho phép bạn đưa widget vào ở bên phải.

Giao diện quản lý rất trực quan, bạn chọn khu vực muốn đưa widget vào, rồi chọn cái widget và bấm nút "Add widget", cái widget bạn chọn được chuyển sang bên phải và bạn bấm "Save" (hình sau)

Bên cạnh đó, bạn có thể tùy chỉnh/thay đổi các Widget, Menu hay các thiết lập khác liên quan đến giao diện từ trang "customize" (tùy chỉnh) giao diện, tại menu quản trị "Appearance/Customize"

Bạn có thể nhấp và kéo để thay đổi thứ tự các widget, hoặc bấm nút "remove" để xóa bỏ widget khỏi giao diện. Để thêm widget vào, click "+ Add a widget"

Thiết lập trang chính (Homepage)

Cũng từ trang "customize" (tùy chỉnh) "Appearance/Customize" chúng ta có thể thiết lập hiển thị cho trang chính (Homepage). Mặc định thì Wordpress để trang chính là 1 trang luôn hiển thị tất cả các bài viết (tương tự Blogspot), tuy nhiên chúng ta có thể đặt 1 trang cụ thể (page) để làm trang chủ.

Bạn có thể viết 1 trang (page, là 1 bài viết nội dung không liên quan tới các bài viết khác) như Welcome, hoặc Intro và đặt làm trang chủ tĩnh.
